Minimum 5 hours includes a personal site visit and discussion to assess your garden design requirements.
My garden design process is specifically designed to ensure that you like the completed garden design ideas and that these will work in your garden.
Design ideas are put together as sketches to create a neatly drawn working draft plan, not to scale, but can be referred to.
Copies of the work are sent in the post.
Any areas of the sketch design can be drawn to scale and a no obligation estimate can be provided.
The garden design consultation can be used for preliminary design ideas, to then progress these ideas further with discussion and drawing up the ideas in more detail to scale, cost estimate provided in advance.

Layout Redesign

This option provides the opportunity to create something really special and completely redesign your garden with a totally new look and layout.

The process of my garden design layout redesign is specifically designed to ensure that the finished drawn to scale detailed plan is a garden design that you like and will work in your garden.

A garden design plan drawn to scale ensures that the balance, proportion and scale of all the components within the garden all link and work together, essential to create visual harmony within the size of your garden and your property.
From reshaping borders, creating a new garden style, solving a problem area, design of new features, key suggestions for an environmentally friendly garden, the possibilities are endless.
Very often clients know what they want having visited another garden or seen photographs of gardens they like, but are hesitant about how to achieve this. Draw upon my design experience and I will help develop these ideas to create a design unique to your garden.

The Planting Design

Provides the opportunity to enhance your garden design layout and accentuate your desired garden style with a detailed planting design, exclusive to your property.

From discussion I create detailed planting plans to your requirements.
I select the right plants for the aspect, soil type and soil pH, choosing the right plants for the location helping to save money.
Plants are chosen to suite your preference for example dramatic exciting schemes or calm relaxing harmonising combinations and/or low maintenance plants that attract beneficial pollinators.
Plants are carefully selected to ensure scale, balance and proportion with the garden design layout and your property to create a personalised detailed planting design.
The planting design ensures structure within the border to create flow and movement, throughout the scheme.
The finished planting design is drawn to scale and shows drifts of named plants as plant genus, species and cultivar.
Your new detailed planting design will provide year round interest and lasting pleasure with contrasts and harmonies of flower shapes and colours together with foliage textures shapes and colours for interesting combinations and lasting pleasure.
A cost estimate design fee is provided in advance.

Specialist Perennial Plant Grower for Pollinators

I grow and sell specialist hardy herbaceous perennials that provide a rich food source for beneficial pollinators.

I design pollinator planting borders, selecting the right plants to increase numbers and the chance of a greater diversity of species into the garden.

Plants are available to purchase at the following markets and shows in 2025:-

Ilkley Market first Sunday of the month.
Otley Farmers Market last Sunday of the month.
Honley Show 28th June
